The purpose of the Health Commission is to promote the health concerns of members of the AME Church.
It advocates health care as a right and not a privilege. It challenges and works to reform the unjust structure that is prevalent in health delivery systems. At Bethel, the commission works hard to keep the congregation informed of relevant health issues and is available to talk with members regarding particular health concerns.
